State Secretary Zdenko Lucić on Tuesday received the president of Frankfurt-based international humanitarian organization Luftfahrt ohne Grenzen/Wings of Help, Frank Franke. The organization has donated substantial humanitarian aid to Croatia, consisting of baby food, toiletries and protective masks, worth USD 180,000. The reason for Franke’s visit to Croatia was a donation of personal computers for children in quake-hit areas.
Apart from Franke, attending the meeting were head of emergency response team Marin Tomaš, project manager for quake-hit areas Tonči Lučić and the Managing Director of International Medical Corps Croatia, Višnja Cipčić.
The International Medical Corps has donated USD 72,000-worth of protective masks, USD 300,000-worth of stain removers and disinfectants, two containers – one for primary health care and the other for emergencies, as well as a fully equipped ambulance for the Emergency Medicine Institute of Sisak-Moslavina County. The organization also plans to invest in the reconstruction of the Institute’s building.
