Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman 25 July 2019 received the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Peter Szijjarto, who was on a working visit to Zagreb.
The two officials’ cordial talks underscored good-neighbourly relations as well as the centuries-old ties and closeness between the two countries and nations.
Grlić Radman and Szijjarto discussed the topical bilateral and European matters, notably Croatia’s upcoming Council of the EU chairmanship.
The two ministers advocate the continuation of the EU enlargement onto southeast, which would stimulate reforms as well as boost security and stability in the immediate neighbourhood.
At the Hungarian Culture Institute, Szijjarto thanked Croatian firefighters and doctors for rescuing a Hungarian family injured in a car accident on 11 July, decorating them for their courage and professionalism.
