Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman 14 August 2019 met with the Archbishop of Zagreb, Cardinal Josip Bozanić, at the Archdiocese of Zagreb.
Bozanić congratulated Grlić Radman on his appointment as the new foreign minister. The two officials discussed a number of topical social issues as well as the importance of the activities of Croatian expats, their communities and Catholic missions around the world, which throughout history have contributed significantly to the preservation of Croatian and Catholic identity of expats.
Grlić Radman and Bozanić also talked about the status of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as the negative demographic trends impacting nearly all of the EU member states, including Croatia. They underlined that this was a crucial issue for the survival of the Croatian nation.
